I was developing an Interactive Presentation for CompassLearning. The script called for a Virtual Tour Guide for the presentation. Below is the process completed to develop the final character. The character was then rigged and animated for the presentation.
Final Character Design.
Initial Character concepts based on the Virtual Tour Guide needing to be a Librarian. I was sampling different age groups and stereotypes associated with Librarians.
The client chose a combination of #1 and #2 (from above). The feedback was to make her a little older, yet keeping a contemporary feel.
This final stage shows changes from the second round of feedback. My sketch is on the left and the final vector illustration is on the right. The final character was rigged for 2D animation in Flash.
